9 Magickal Uses of Florida Water

Florida Water

What an amazing grand opening we had at Curio, Craft & Conjure last weekend!

Our C-4 Station is a popular attraction and we are getting great reviews on Facebook – {Grateful!!!}

With all the hubbub going on, one of my favorite moments was when a young woman walked up to our staged altar and asked me about Florida Water.

See, I assumed that the folks coming into the store were all waist-deep into the variety of witchy ways you can practice, and hearing this question let me know that we are attracting a wider audience than I thought.

After hearing that question, I figured there are probably many folks who may not know all the wonderful ways you can use it.

Florida Water has been around since the early 1800’s. It is a combination of alcohol, lemon oil, orange oil and lavender oil. Many folks believe it cures headaches, and soothes fevers, but I use it for its magical properties.

Here are 9 Magickal Uses of Florida Water

  • Ritual offerings and purification: For example, you can replace Holy water with Florida Water.
  • Altar Cleansing: Wipe down all of the items on your altar with Florida Water to clear negative energy and receive messages from the spirits and ancestors. NOTE: Use caution with candles. Wait until the candle is dry before lighting.
  • Clearing: In spells, Florida Water is used to remove heavy vibrations and to encourage the expression of emotions.
  • Emotional Healing: The calming effect can help depression. Use on your body to keep sadness away.
  • Ancestor Reverence: Place a glass of Florida Water on your altar for clear communication when seeking guidance from ancestors.
  • Attract Love: Add a few drops to a bowl set beside your bed and light a red candle while focusing your intention on your desired goal. *Note: Use caution. Florida Water is highly flammable.
  • House Blessing: When blessing and cleansing a new home, mix Florida Water with Basil and Rue herbs and anoint your floors, windows and doorways for protection, prosperity and luck.
  • Wash your hands with Florida Water after engaging with negative people or being in a negative environment.
  • Spells: Add some drops to ink and paper when writing out spells.

Wanna try it? Come into the store (or visit us online!) and grab a bottle to experience the magick for yourself!
