Yeah…..NO.
It amazes me how many of us have a weird relationship with money (and weird judgments about those who have a lot of it.)
We’ll say things about people like Madonna (I can’t believe she never changed her own children’s diaper! Who does she think she is??) or Oprah (Why does she have to go all the way to Africa to help children? There are children to help right here!)
I had a healing teacher once tell the group (in a very pious tone): “I don’t charge for my services, because I have a gift, and God will take it away if I do.”
I silently thought to myself, “Hmmmm…..What kind of God would do that?”
This just in: You don’t have to refrain from Sex or be Broke to be Spiritual.
As a matter of fact, it’s thinking like this that keeps many of us in the Healing Community from reaching our full financial potential.
God Bless Mother Theresa, but we’re all not cut out to be her.
And I for one, am fine with that.
But pause now. Center in your heart. Now ask yourself these 5 questions:
1. What are your limiting beliefs about doing what you love and earning what you want?
2. When did your very first memory around money and spirituality occur?
3. When did you have the first thought that “money was bad” in any way that thought popped up.
4. Do you have an energetic ceiling around how much they can earn?
5. What’s your ceiling?
We ARE cut out to do what we love, helping, serving and creating, in only a way that we can, while eating, going on vacations, living comfortably and driving the car we desire.
We can love freely, enjoy good sex, dine out, get our hair done, go to plays and gain the benefits of those massage therapists and healers, intuitive readers and artists who do what THEY love.
WE are here to LIVE WELL…not suffer in the name of God.
