My intention for 2018 is to bring more magick into people’s lives. So, in this newsletter, I will introduce you to my approach to magick.
“Setting intentions” is very different from “setting goals”. And after the last two (trying) years, I learned the value of counting blessings over counting money. Before, I was a planner and “goal setter”, and a big believer in 5-year plans.
Not anymore.
Running after a moving target in pursuit of happiness, attaining temporary joy, followed by an empty feeling (‘cuz, let’s face it – the thrill and lessons are in the “pursuit”), & THEN creating new goals, keeps us running towards the distant future, like hamsters on a wheel.
Without a destination, I am working towards my intention without the urgency to arrive at a finish line, only to jump up turn around and do it all over again in.
I’ve learned to not pursue a mirage at some future point in “time” and to be present…to be here. Now.
My start to this year has been a roller-coaster ride with lessons in “surrendering”, honoring “flow” and “trust”. So far, this year has introduced several new beginnings. I’m learning to keep my heart and mind open, while consciously recognizing and honoring the spirits that support me.
And, as my history reveals, I mix and match what works and makes sense for me.
Examples:
- When I was younger and lived in Mt. Vernon, my black friends would wonder why I hung out with everyone (black, white, Hispanic). (Why? Because it worked for me.)
- As a young woman exploring various religions, I would study, but not choose “just one”. I took what I liked from each. (Why? Because it worked for me.)
- As a woman exploring my sexuality, lesbians wondered what I found so interesting in men. (Why? Because I am attracted to people, not “parts”. This works for me.)
Along these lines, when it comes to magick, people think of “witches”, “Wicca”, “Pagan”, “Santeria” or Spiritism. Again, here, I resonate with aspects of each, but have no desire to belong to a group.
In fact, I find my approach to magick is completely unique. I use an approach that works for me…a pathway approach.
I understand enough about energy and quantum physics to manipulate it and bring about change.
I start with a strong foundation. Here I will share my foundation to my magick. See which resonates with you:
The Elemental Pathway – Using physical reality as a doorway to the spiritual via your energy system. Recognizing the spirit in everything from crystals, to plants and elements.
The Power Pathway – Commanding supporting forces, powers and energies to create change, through the doorway of the chakras.
The Imagination Pathway – Rearranging projections to bring what is imagined into life. Here, it’s about your personal energy or support of forces. It’s more about understanding dimensions and the imaginal realm – which by the way, is very, very real.
The Divine Pathway – The Superpower of expansion to neutrality. Acting from your personal Divinity, with the support of the Divine.
Note: Many folks assume that the elemental pathway is THE way of the Witch…It is A WAY, not The ONLY Way.
In my 12 Steps to Tarot Mastery program I’ll be teaching participants how to align their desires with the pathway they are naturally predisposed to, and summon support with the use of tarot cards and create the changes they desire. (The tarot cards don’t make anything happen, per-se. They do provide a powerful anchor for you, the practitioner)
Being open and flexible – allowing your plans to change/grow/expand is also in alignment with the flow of lessons, love and life itself.
