Holy basil — also called Tulsi — is a popular herb for many reasons. As an adaptogen, it reduces anxiety and lowers stress. The herb also helps balance blood sugar, relieves headaches and earaches, protects the stomach, reduces fevers, and boosts skin, brain, and eye health.
I also learned a few ways to attract love& luck, increase wealth, and determine the longevity of a relationship from Amy Jirsa’s book, herbal goddess.
To Attract Love & Luck
-
Rub powdered basil over yours and your lover’s heart for fidelity.
-
Carry a leaf in your pocket to attract a new love or luck.
To Increase Wealth
-
Keep a potted basil plant in your home.
-
If you own a business, keep a basil leaf in the register.
To Determine the Longevity of a Relationship
-
Light a charcoal disk and put 2 fresh basil leaves on it. If they burn to ash quickly, the relationship will be successful. If they crackle and jump, it predicts a “fiery relationship”. If the leaves fly apart, that predicts trouble ahead. Also – if after placing fresh basil in your lover’s hand, the leaf withers, it speaks to an unfaithful partner.
