I have been drawn to the night sky, the Moon, constellations, and astrology for as long as I can remember. As much as I love astrology, I appreciate it more for personal use than being an actual “Astrologist”.
That said – I never started noticing (and working with) phases of the Moon until opening Curio, Craft & Conjure. Pre-Covid, we hosted monthly “moon-meetings” taught by Meliea Black (Livinglunaraligned.com). I always made sure I participated, and I always walked away with SO much knowledge.
Once Covid changed our lives, I resorted to reading (numerous) books about working with moon phases to get my “Lunar–Info-fix”. From my research and practice, I created a formula for working with Moon phases that supports wishes. And it works like a charm!

Lunar energy is organized and predictable. Each month it repeats itself like clockwork, so you can predict the type of energy you will be working with. Working with the Moon’s energy is like swimming with the tide – as opposed to against it – whether you are working on something Magickal or mundane.
For example, if you are selling your house, you may want to plan an open house on a day the Moon is waxing because your energy will be great, and potential buyers will feel upbeat. By contrast, I would avoid the Dark Moon phase for an open house because people may not show interest or maybe too much in their feelings.
Moon phases can also support generosity.
For example, if the Moon phase is Waning (getting smaller), you may feel inspired to clear your closets. Take advantage of this phase and donate the old clothes to Goodwill or give them to someone who could use them.
A Waxing Moon supports growth and is perfect for making new friends – while a Dark Moon is a great time to send love to those you know need a boost of positive energy.
