We have all experienced the sense of urgency to “learn everything” and “move forward.” With that, we are often confronted with challenges and setbacks. Recently, I’ve been fond of saying, “rejection is God’s protection,” but admit that sometimes my heart forgets to remember that wisdom.
When a situation, person, or thing appears to hold you back, or a situation does not move forward as you would like, remember that “setbacks” often lay the foundation for blessings. They are always an opportunity to learn something and usually come with a solution and rebirth – either the situation or yourself.
I often say that while we are looking for a “sign” from The Universe, The Universe is also looking for a “sign” from us. What that means is that our desire must be unwavering.
I have a client who has been “looking for love.” I suggested that she write a list of the qualities and characteristics she wants in her ideal partner – (we’ve all heard this before) and suggested that she also match that list with another that lists the same number of qualities and characteristics that she offers. This was harder for her and most people. We often don’t look at ourselves through that lens.
She has met several guys (and shared some hilarious stories – she needs to write a book!) – but the one thing she goes back to is her list. The Universe has thrown her some interesting curve balls. One guy was handsome and funny – but very short; she prefers taller men. Many just lived too far away, not something she put on her list initially, but she realized she had no desire to have a long-distance relationship, so she added that to her list. Finally, some were nice enough but didn’t have enough in common with her. My point here is that she always goes back to her list.
Anyhoo – she finally narrowed it down to 3 guys – and I gave her a ritual that I am also sharing with you.
Ritual: The Blooming
Materials needed:
- Paper
- Pen
- Three flowering plants.
Step 1. On three separate pieces of paper, write three choices or desired outcomes in your situation.
Step 2. Fold the papers and put each in a potted plant.
Step 3. Leave a crystal pressed into the dirt at the base of the plant as an offering to the Earth.
Step 4. Pour water over it.
Step 5. The first plant with full new growth is your answer. Read that paper, then place it under the vase.
Step 6. Take whatever action you know will support you. Expect a total transformation of the situation by the next full moon.
