Many things can cause a string of bad luck:
- A Saturn Return: Lasting about two years, this is a time for introspection and self-evaluation. It is a time of taking responsibility and often making serious choices. This is usually a challenging time for some.
- Resonance: When your own thoughts are dark and destructive, you will attract the energy that resonates with them.
- A Jinx: Often inconvenient, this is not a “forever” thing.
- Evil Eye: This unintentionally makes you a target for those who are secretly envious.
The last two (Jinx and Evil Eye) can easily be identified by looking at what is going wrong in your life:
- Dying plants
- Sick pets
- Setbacks or delays
- Car issues
- Anything that keeps you from moving forward.
I teach quantum physics in all of my Magick programs, and it helps people understand the science of Magick. I refer to Universal Laws to help make sense of the miraculous. The Law of Magnetism indicates that we are constantly attracting and repelling with our thoughts and energy. This means that if your vibration is high enough, you can repel unwanted energy.
But here’s the thing: We are human, and we are constantly bombarded with unwanted energies via marketing, social media, and people you bump into, you name it. And as enlightened as we feel when we come out of meditation, a moment of “exposure” can be just the thing that allows for such resonance.
If you are anything like me (human) and succumb to human tendencies, you may want to know there are a few things you can do that can repel unwanted energy.
- Get a “decoy.”
- Reversal Magick.
A decoy takes the hit, so you don’t have to. Reversal Magick sends anything – good or bad – back to the sender.

Dirt Decoy:
- Fill a teacup with dirt (dirt from outside your home is best)
- Sit with the cup of dirt, expressing gratitude while asking it to take any unwanted energy.
- Each week, dump it outside so the energy can be transmuted, and get another cup of dirt.
- Repeat weekly.
Evil Eye Design
