Actually, quite a lot!
When my four sisters and I were much younger, we had nick names. Most of them didn’t stick past puberty except one sister. Her nick name was “Muffy”
Each of us had our “teen-age challenges”. And for some reason (only God knows), whatever “Muffy” was going through at one point, my mother lamented about at work. Her colleague (who I remember/intuit as male, gay and very calm, even though I never personally met him) turned to my mother (I imagine/intuit as he was preparing a cup of coffee) and simply stated “Stop calling her “Muffy.” How can you ever accomplish “X” (I have no idea what that is) with a name like “Muffy”.
From that day forward, she has not been called…that name.
She is now in a successful long term relationship, (married about 20 years now), has a career she enjoys and has done well for herself.
Prior to that, her list of accomplishments were overshadowed by her perspective on how “life” was treating her. (Hmmmm…)
Fast forward to about four years ago, I was turned on to a book that talks about the first vowel in your name having a lot to do with your character. Here is a sampling:
A: Bold, Independent, Analytical
E: You live an eventful, exciting life! You are versatile and learn easily.
I: Intuitive and interested in the arts, drama or science.
O: Candid and a believer of law, system and order.
U: Universal mind, capable of great ideas and a broad perspective.
Y: According to the sound produced, it can be likened to the same significance as “A” or “I”.
Does this apply to you? (It certainly applies to me!)
Happy Sunday….
You are loved~
