The European inquisition was motivated by the male-dominated medical industry’s attempts to usurp traditional midwifery.
The unfortunate truth is that this was happening around the world at the same time.
Fast forward, the energy of fear became infectious, and people started ratting on friends, family members, neighbors – anyone they could to save their asses.
As sad as it is – this still happens today.
I recently did a reading for a lady who encountered someone who advised her to “stay away from Gina.” What they didn’t know was that my client already knew me and that, in the past, I had extended a generous gift to her in her time of need.
Just like in the past, people who fear the power of the talented attempt to devalue them instead of focusing on what they can do to develop their own power.
Having experienced this growth opportunity myself, I recognize this trigger as an invitation.
It is an invitation to discover your own power. Everyone is gifted, and your gift is “you-nique” to you.
We all co-exist because no individual has a bigger “piece of the talent pie.” “The pie” ebbs and flows, just like our interests and skills. Even if the person trashing me had my exact skillset, they may attract completely different clients than I do. I am not everyone’s “cup of tea,” nor do I want to be.
And that is my point. When you find yourself triggered (angry, jealous, or afraid), ask yourself: “What is the invitation here? What are these emotions inviting me to explore within myself?”
This is where the real Magick begins.
Does this mean “turn the other cheek?” if you are a victim of slander? Not necessarily. In cases like this, I choose to turn a deaf ear, and I rest in the power of knowing who I am.
