I was recently hanging out with new friends in Minneapolis, and somehow the subject of salt lamps popped up. (Can be found at Amazon)
What I know about environmental pollutants is actually a lot compared to most, who generally don’t care (I mean, it is not a sexy subject).
But when you have had to deal with a major eye opening energetic state, you think about what you put in and around you.
So – my question to the group was this: If we all know that electricity is a vital energy drain, why would we plug in a salt lamp??
Environmental toxins include electricity in all of its forms: Plugged in electrical items including TV’s, Micro waves, lights, CD players…also cell phones. Other vital energy drains include micro fiber, polyester, acrylic, spandex (you get the picture) and tap water. And lets’ not even mention food.
One friend thought that the lamp needed the heat from the lamp to be “activated”. I took it at face value, and we all moved to another subject.
Then, it popped back up – probably because it was unresolved.
My download: Salt lamps are excellent space clearers. And they do NOT need to be plugged in to be effective – in fact, that drains the potency of the lamp.
The science behind it is this: Salt lamps (like Palo Santo and Sage) clear the positive ions (negative energy) from the atmosphere. Unlike Palo Santo or Sage, there is no smoke. The salt itself actually absorbs the energy.
So…this means that you have to periodically throw out the lamp.
Moral: DON’T by a plug in – they are too expensive to be thrown away!
