Do you have Total Recall?Do you remember the day you decided to help others?
I remember clearly:
This was after my Sun-son’s mother was diagnosed (& dead), from cancer related treatment.
In fact, I remember calling “Goldie”, (my kid’s father) and telling him the news of my diagnoses.
His response? “I’m not worried about you. You will be the mother (of my children) who lives.”
Fast forward: HE was diagnosed last year, and died in March…
So – the day I decided to help other was in 2011 (okay, so I really don’t remember the exact date)…. But I was learning the life lesson behind the breast cancer I was experiencing at the time.
I decided to study quantum physics & numerous modalities of healing (including Chakra Therapy, Reiki, Reconnective Healing, Crystal Healing, Radical Forgiveness, EMF, Color healing, Acutonics/Sound Therapy, Medical Intuition…and I’m pretty sure I’m leaving stuff out)
Then…suddenly – something clicked: The information I was gaining, wasn’t for me alone.
There were others who also needed the exact information I was learning.
If you’re like me, you chose this path because in your heart you know you want to help people better their lives. You were probably inspired by an experience YOU had.
Something deep within you, “calls” for you to help and contribute, in a way that is unique to YOU…am I right?
You know what else I learned?
I’ve learned from experience that those of us in this space need “refueling”.
In helping others the way we do, we have to be continuously nurtured AND refueled by learning the most advanced information available, and being in community. This helps us provide our clients with the support they need to change their lives, while also caring for ourselves.
In order to make more of a difference for our clients and ourselves, we have to be open to new information that challenges old beliefs, and address the personal challenges WE have, so we can work from a place of empathy.
Let’s face it…the work we do is hard.
I hate seeing suffering, sadness and frustration when someone isn’t healing (or worse)…when they won’t take action. There’s a huge amount of burden in our work, but your purpose at this time in humanity was Divinely chosen.
