One of the foundational techniques I teach my students is how to connect (or merge) with someone else.

This technique allows them to gain perspective in situations they would need to negotiate or gain deeper insight into situations – including readings.

Exposure to any energy can sometimes compromise our own, so along with this technique, I teach another to wash away any unwanted energy.

This is the perfect thing to do after a reading AND when exposed to energy perceived as undesirable. This can also be good for any of us. We often find ourselves dealing with other people’s stuff but may not realize how much “sticks”. (Tip: You know it’s “sticking” when you can’t stop thinking about it)

How it’s done:

• Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
• Imagine you are in a sacred place in nature where there is a waterfall – only this waterfall is flowing pink, liquid light.
• Stand under it, imagining the water washing over the outside and inside of your body.
• Our chakras perceive both fast- and slow-moving information, so imagine this pink liquid light, swirling around, clearing each chakra, starting at your head, all the way down to your toes.
• Imagine the energetic debris pooling at your feet and being drawn away from you, towards a natural drain.
• Finally, breathe in your name 3 times.

This is a beautiful and simple way to heal yourself.
