When I was hanging out with Cyndi Dale in January, I met a couple of very cool people who turned me on to a deck and book I never heard of called The Tarot of the Spirit.
While reading the book and getting to know the cards, the author, Pamela Eakin talks about why tarot works. She calls it a psycho active process meaning “to make what is unconscious, conscious.” She speaks to how the symbolism in a tarot card lays deep in our subconscious, and resonates with us so we can find the meaning.
I have found in my life – especially as an intuitive, that our environment is just as effective a tool as the “tool” of a tarot card. At SHIFT I had participants use my business card as the tool, and at Life Lift, participants used their environment. Guess what? They are just as effective. In fact, one SHIFT participant wrote me and said (and I quote):
“….My story was about a poker game that I won a hand using the ace of spades and won the game. I play free poker Monday nights….Wow… I made a royal flush in spades ace thru 10, then went on to win the game. I never made a royal flush before and most of the players have not seen one in a game. Excited does not describe how I felt! On the way home I remembered my story. I will continue to write stories. I just had to let you know. Thanks for this experience ….Judy”
