Your Ultimate Desire

In the last newsletter, we reviewed wishes and your desire behind your desire.

If you did the homework, you might have surprised yourself! (If you didn’t – I highly recommend it!)

I once read a book years ago (so long ago, I forgot the name and author) – but the whole point of the book is that we all ultimately desire the same thing.

Now – if I just read this last line in a newsletter, like you just did, I would conclude the ultimate desire to be loved.

Did you conclude that?

In this author’s estimation, it was, in fact, peace.

I had to sit with this information for a long time – (like, a good year) before it rang true for me. In numerous situations, I asked myself repeatedly, “why?” before getting to that deeper truth.

I originally came up with the standard desires (success, money, love, health) and then went deeper (contributing to and supporting the success of those around me), and in the end, it boiled down to peace.

But here’s the thing: Sitting in meditation for hours can bring peace.

Ultimately – I had to work towards my desires and participate in the co-creation and journey toward each destination.

In the end, I have one thing to say about all this: No matter how shallow your dreams and wishes may appear to yourself or others, it still matters.

Why?

Because when you contribute to the process, both magickly and practically, and ride the emotional roller coasters in the process, it contributes to your growth and appreciation of your success.

It’s kinda like when you buy your kid a car (their wish), and they bang it up within six months.

By contrast, when they pay for the car themselves, it supports pride in ownership, a sense of responsibility, and greater appreciation for the car.
