Distant Healing, Distant Harming?

You may already be aware of rituals available for distant healing – from crystal grids to candle spells, to guided meditations, to full-on ceremonies. But did you know that the same practices used for healing can also be modified for distant harming?

Those that know how to heal also know how to harm.

Among energy workers, crystal grids are a very popular way to send distant healing. The idea is simple: An arrangement of stones specific to the desired healing is placed on sacred geometry with an image of your target. After activating the grid, your intention, the sacred geometry, and the crystals work together towards your desired outcome.

A skilled and knowledgeable practitioner could turn a “healing grid” into a harmful grid.

For Candle Spells, The first step is choosing the right color candle. For general healing, these green or blue candles are fine. For healing the heart chakra, (anything from breast cancer to heartache), pink is a great option. For healing melancholy, orange is perfect. Not sure which to use? White can represent all colors. Figure candles are another option.

Carve your target’s name and astrological glyph into the candle. Dress your candle with Magickal oil. *We have a menu of Magickal oils that are available online or by request in store. Light the candle and allow it to burn completely.

Again – Those that know how to heal, know how to harm.

You can also send energy through concentration and visualization.

Get into a meditative state by taking three deep, slow breaths in through your nose and out of your mouth. Picture the person, place, or situation in need of help. Feel a connection to your target in your heart center through which energy communicates the farthest. Then, visualize yourself sending loving energy toward this target. See them becoming healthy, happy, and whole again. Or NOT.

Voodoo Dolls, or poppets, are a form of sympathetic Magick. In short, the doll represents the person in need of healing. For this, you will need:

• A regular doll or Voodoo Doll (or fabric, needle, and thread, plus healing herbs for stuffing)
• A blue or black pen
• A white- or blue-tipped pin.
• Personal Concerns (A lock of hair, fingernail clippings, photo, or name paper for the person the doll represents.)

If making your doll, cut out a “gingerbread man” figure from your fabric. Sew it along the outside edges, leaving a 2″ opening. To hide the seams, turn them inside out. Start stuffing the doll with herbs, add the personal concerns or name paper inside, and fill the rest with the healing herbs.

Name the doll after the spell’s target and dedicate it as a healing tool. Draw a circle around the area affected by the ailment. You can call on deities of healing, nature spirits, or other helpers to aid you if you wish. Picture the spell’s target fully healed, and hold on to this image in your mind as you pierce the drawn-on circle with the pin. Keep the doll in a safe place until the healing is complete.

Again – ALL of these methods – intended to help – can also harm. Many “Love and Light” folks are “healers,” but keep in mind that they are still people complete with hurt feelings, animosity, and jealousy.
