I had a cleaning team (lead by a woman I knew and trusted) scrub my place from top to bottom. I informed them that I would need follow-up cleaning, and an additional scrubbing when I sold my house. She was thrilled!
About a day after the team left, I found that there was a bleach stain on my duvet. I thought “get over it, Gina – no biggie” …(although it bothered me a lot).
Another day passed, and I noticed that a healing tool I use was also broken. It was a moderately expensive tool.
Broken. And I had to stumble upon it.
I texted the woman I knew was like “Yo! Whats up with this? “ Sending pictures of both the stained duvet and the tool.
Her response? ...”Oh well…”
No apology.
No “How can I make this up to you?
Honestly, if she simply addressed the broken/stained items before I found them – we would be fine.
She “won” the battle….and lost the war, with about (at least) another $1000 worth of business in the short term, plus referrals in the long run. The very thing she was looking to save (money), she lost.
Our vibrational states and our field expand, reaching way beyond what we can imagine drawing our “focus” to us in unexpected ways..Sometimes its good…other times? Not so good.
And here’s the thing: We all do this.
We may win battles… but we completely lose wars…
Way too often, our “winning attitude” can cost us so much more in the end.
You are loved~
