We are all working on ourselves, aren’t we? Taking the time to work on our opportunities for healing and growth…gaining a sense of accomplishment with each step.
But what about the areas we are not conscious of?
Key: Our consciousness is like elastic waistband pants…it expands to fit.
I read a story a while back about a woman who came to the states from Korea, and had never seen red hair. Because she had never seen it, she couldn’t see it.
Another story I read speaks about a man who volunteers to help an indigenous tribe from the Amazonian rain forest hunt for a particular (HUGE) insect that is part of their food source. Initially, he was no help at all. To him, they blended in with the trees.
This is just like our consciousness. How can we “know something” we don’t even know to know?
Periodically, life offers us invitations to expand our consciousness. Here is how you know when you have that “Special Invitation”.
- Life Trauma (Death, Divorce, Illness & Job loss)
- Feeling stuck (You wouldn’t know you were stuck unless you knew it was time to move.)
- Knowing you’ve outgrown people or places and not knowing how to move on.
- Having an experience time after time and asking the question “Why me?” repeatedly.
These are life’s invitations to expand – and they are not fun. We tend to view our success by our “safety and security”. The Universe views our success by how much we’ve grown.
I view these special invitations as life’s Decision Diamonds. We can always put our heads back in the sand. There will be another invitation. Or we can choose something else..TODAY.
