The Four Agreements has it wrong.
One of The Four Agreements (by Don Miguel Ruiz) is not to take anything personally.
I totally disagree.
See – I believe that everything we notice is The Universe speaking to us, and that learning how to see thorough “God’s glasses” we can discover the message.
It is all a matter of perspective.
True story: A friend I’d known for years, who I believed spoke the same “language” as I did, turned out to be, well, crazy.
Initially, I didn’t know what her growth opportunities were, (cuz’ let’s face it, we ALL have ‘em), but we shared so much in common I believed we would be friends forever. I was devastated to discover that her growth opportunities allowed her to “turn” on those closest to her (namely ME) on a dime.
Anyhoo – After trying to rationalize “crazy”, I realized my best option was to simply walk away.
But the real value in this scenario was this: As I reflected on the situation, I realized how much I had grown and how much I love myself. Not allowing myself to be roped in by her vile behavior or caught up in drama, I realized I was no longer a glutton for punishment – as I’d been in the past. (And for this awareness, I thank her!)
Another true story: One day, in October of 2015 I was staining my landing, listening to Level 42 (music from the 90’s.) The lyrics of the song I was singing took me to a time loophole into the future. I had a sudden deep knowing that my on-again-off-again partner was going to die. We were “off” at the time (in fact, we hadn’t spoken in months), but I put my pride aside and reached out to her. Fortunately, I was able to spend quality time with her before she transitioned within a year.
My quickest Intuitive Training tip: Notice what you notice.
Because it is all personal.
Now I’m not saying that if someone cuts you off on the road, it’s personal. I am saying that our opportunity is to look through God’s glasses to “see what we can see”.
I believe whatever happens to us, happens for us. I now ask myself (when triggered) “What is the value of this?” or “What is the message for me, here?”
This “11” year (2+0+1+8 = 11) offers support that is dynamic when we set our sights on a concrete goal. The 11 is the number associated with faith and psychics and Oracles.
