The Art of Intuitive Tarot

When people are learning The Art of Intuitive Tarot, one of the most elusive skills to acquire is getting the names of the people that are in (or will be in) your client’s life.

In my course, The Art of Intuitive Tarot (on DailyOM), I teach my students how to do just that. The thing is, I teach how to do this with a pictorial deck that features actual people.

But what if you have a deck that does not have any people, like the Crow Tarot, featured above?

This is an advanced technique – but it is totally possible!!

First, I suggest getting used to the technique I offer in The Art of Intuitive Tarot because, to our minds, it makes more sense. Once you do this (and experience that it actually works), you can easily segue into this more advanced technique.

Hot Tarot Tip: To create a more relaxed environment that supports an intuitive dialog between your subconscious and conscious anytime – one of my favorites is Frankincense & Myrrh incense.

This technique is especially good if you are using a deck with no people (or the people lack racial variety or are more like “caricatures”) – then you’ll want to allow the images that catch your eye to offer insight.

How do you do this?

Well… It’s easier than you think!!

For example, in the Crow Tarot, the 9 of Pentacles features a crow on a dog’s head. There is also a butterfly, lotus, tree, and sun in the image. For me – the dog stands out. It looks like a Husky, so I might say to my client, “There is someone in your life whose name begins with “H” – like “Hans,” “Harvey,” “Harry,” “Hank,” or “Henry”…” often I hit the name on the head – other times, they come up with it – either way, it’s close enough!

If you are a tarot card reader, try this technique to see how it works for you!
