Quick Exercise: Close your eyes, take your right index finger, and hold it above the palm of your left hand. If you pay attention, you’ll “feel” the tip of your finger before it even touches your hand. Your body’s energetic field extends way beyond the surface of your skin.
Your aura (or energy field) helps manage, maintain, regulate and store fast- and slow-moving energy. Because of this constant exposure to various energies, we should cleanse our auras regularly.
Here are four ways to keep your aura clean and clear:
1. Use an amethyst or quartz point to clear your aura quickly and easily. Hold your crystal the same way you would a lint roller, with the point facing away from you – and gently brush it over you a few inches away from your skin. Give your crystal a good shake to remove energies from it, and sure to work over your entire body, including under your arms, feet, and top of your head.
2. Burn herbs around you. Here are some herbs and their properties:
- Lavender is great to use to loosen energies before using any other herb. It calms and relaxes your field, so it doesn’t “grip” your unwanted energy.
- Sage removes all energy. Burn around you as described in the crystal clearing process. This MUST be followed up with another herb, like sweet grass.
- Palo Santo removes unwanted energy while keeping desirable energy.
- Rosemary is particularly good for women to ward off evil.
- Bay Leaves to clear the mind.
- Frankincense and Myrrh call in supportive energies of peace, healing, and protection.
3. Use visualization every day – before leaving the house and before going to bed. Imagine breathing in positive energy. When you exhale, send this energy through your skin to your aura. Picture it pushing away unwanted energy while healing damaged parts.
4. Ask your guardian angels or spirit guides for help. Your guardian angels, ancestors, and spirit guides are always available to aid you. Close your eyes, breathe deeply and make your request.
Regularly clearing your aura is a small but important spiritual exercise that supports your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Regular practice will not only keep your aura strong but will also strengthen your abilities to manipulate energy. Choose the method that resonates with you most, then take a few minutes each day to put it into practice.
