An Intuition Witch follows no one. She discovers and embraces her personalized practices with guidance – not rules.
Two newsletters ago, you took a brief test to determine your personal brand of magick.
Discovering your personal brand of Magick allows you to define and create rituals that are most effective for you.
If you took the quiz last you agreed to at least two of these statements:
- I like creating word spells.
- I like to take smoke baths (smudging).
- I love using incense in my home.
To me, this means you may have a magickal gift order that is supported by the fourth and fifth chakras. This makes you particularly sensitive to spirits – including Angels, Nature Spirits, and ghosts.
Practices that may resonate with you include:
- Saying spells or affirmations aloud.
- Smudge “baths.”
- Wind “baths.”
- Using your breath with intention.
In this newsletter, I want to share a recipe for you to create your own incense to inspire new ideas.
Wind – or the element of Air in tarot has to do with the suit of Swords. In tarot, this mental element represents information, intellect, and adversely, struggle or animosity – however you are interpreting information. With swords, perspective is everything!
Burning incense – or what I call “a simple spell” – is a great way to bring about change if done with intention.
If you feel like your thoughts or perspective is keeping you from your healing, growth, or desires, create this incense recipe and burning it while meditating or even while cleaning your home.
How do you know if your perspective is getting in your way?
- You make statements that include “always” or “never”.
- You compare your life to others.
- You believe you cannot succeed in any area of your life, like love, success, or health.
- You have negative beliefs about your personal value or worth.
Insight Blend: To help you shift perspective.
You’ll need:
- Frankincense Resin
- Myrrh Resin
- Mugwort
- Sage
- Self-Lighting Dragon’s Blood Incense
- A specific intention
Timing: You can do this any day, but Wednesdays are great days because it is “Mercury’s day” – representing curiosity, communication, coordination, intellect, reason, and versatility – each of these qualities perfect for helping you shift perspective.
Blend The frankincense, myrrh, mugwort, and sage, while thinking about your intention. I use an inexpensive coffee grinder to create my blends, but you can also use a mortar and pestle.
Once you’ve blended it to your desired consistency, light your dragon’s blood incense. When it has worked up a good smoke, put your blend on top of it.
Do this for 5 Wednesdays. By the 5th, you should’ve made progress!
If Wind is not your element, no worries! Next week we will explore Practices for those Intuitive Fire Witches!
