A Year in Review

If 2020 was nothing else – it was definitely the year of the BIG REVEAL.

What was revealed?

The Ugly

• Hidden, systemic racism was exposed via the death of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor (and a host of others).
• Blatant racism was revealed through many of the followers of “45”.
• Unwanted surgeries & medical abuse revealed by those held by I.C.E.
• A lack of empathy for the sick, elderly, and other human beings.

All of this (and more) also supported more revelations:

The Good

• People of all races coming together in peaceful protests for equality.
• The CIA finally admitted to the existence of UFOs!
• Publications (like KC Star) apologizing for their history of racist coverage.
• The isolation that came with the pandemic exposed our need for each other.

In our seclusion, many of us have taken the time to find ourselves. We realize the only people we can trust is ourselves. We’ve been invited to discover their own spirit and truth.

In this email, I’m inviting you to discover what 2020 has revealed to you about yourself.

If you believe in the microcosm/macrocosm theory, then the world is your mirror. What is happening in the world is also happening in you.

Take a moment to think about these questions.

• What about this year’s “ugly” bothered you most?
• What did that reflect about yourself? (Can you find your “ugly’ truth? Do you feel like you need to do something about it?)

• What about this year’s “good” lifts you most?
• What does that reflect about yourself?
• How about your own “good” – have you found another layer of it?

The “bad” and “good” are equally important!

If you feel moved by these questions, write them down for yourself – with your current answers – or keep asking yourself these questions until you do find them. By periodically revisiting them, you may find that your growth and healing lay in the willingness to take responsibility for your answers.
